Jaguars Cut Roster Down To Final 53 Players

A total of 36 players were either cut or placed on IR on Saturday for the Jaguars so they could trim their roster down to the mandated 53 players needed for their opener next Sunday when they take on the Giants on the road.  Among players listed as injured is Dante Fowler JR, who is suspended for week one but expected to return after that.

The Jaguars have kept 10 offensive lineman on the roster, and 6 wide receivers. Also worth noting is that QB Tanner Lee, who was a 2018 6th round draft pick, is the only player drafted this year not to make the team. Cornerback Tre Herndon is the only undrafted Free Agent to make the team from this year.
