Former Jaguars Coach Del Rio Wants USC Job

Former Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio is interested in being the head coach at USC in the event that the Trojans fire current head coach Clay Helton. Sports By Brooks is reporting that Del Rio has "positioned himself among prominent USC alumni as the likely successor".

Del Rio played college football at USC, earning All-American honors twice and earning the co-MVP of the Rose Bowl in 1985. He was a third round pick in the NFL in the 1985 NFL Draft.

Del Rio coached the Jaguars from 2003 - 2011 before being fired. He compiled a 68-71 record as the head coach in Jacksonville.
