Gators Move Game vs USF in Tampa up Two Years to 2021

There has been an adjustment made to the Florida-USF three-game series, with the single game scheduled at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. now slated for 2021, rather than 2023 as originally planned. The two games scheduled for Gainesville are still set for 2022 and 2025.

UF and USF have met only once before, when the Gators defeated the Bulls 38-14 in the second week of the 2010 season.

This series is another example of the University of Florida’s history to play in-state schools in its recent past. Over the past 15 years, Florida has played Florida State, Miami, UCF, USF, Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic and Florida International.

In addition to UF’s annual matchup with FSU, fans are reminded that UF will open the 2019 season with the Miami Hurricanes at the Camping World Kickoff.

The Gators and Hurricanes have a long history dating back to their first meeting in 1938 in Gainesville. Miami leads the all-time series 29-26 and won the last meeting three years ago at home.

The 2019 clash will be the seventh neutral-site game in the rivalry's history. The schools have met in Jacksonville (1958-59), Orlando (1976), Tampa (1984), New Orleans (Sugar Bowl) and Atlanta (Peach Bowl) previously, splitting the six games.
