Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht spoke to media on Monday and confirmed that QB Jameis Winston would be back with the team in 2019. Winston had a tumultuous 2018 with the team, missing the first three games due to suspension following an incident in which he inappropriately touched an Uber driver, and was benched for backup Ryan Fitzpatrick following a rough stretch in the middle of the season before ultimately regaining his job and closing out the year.
The Buccaneers fired head coach Dirk Koetter following their regular season loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the season finale. Winston is 21-33 as a starter for the Buccaneers.
