Former Jaguars DE Fowler Jr. Critical Of Jags

Former Jaguars DE Dante Fowler Jr. is headed to the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams and was asked about his time in Jacksonville, as he was traded mid-season to the Rams.

Fowler said that one of the differences he noticed between Jacksonville and Los Angeles is that the Rams were better at "keeping the main thing the main thing," and that the Jaguars weren't humble following their AFC Championship run in 2017.

“It took me coming here to realize that we weren’t humble about it. Other teams were hungrier than us.” Fowler Jr. via Sports Illustrated's Robert Klemko

Fowler Jr. also said that he felt the Jaguars gave up on him following his ACL tear in his rookie season:

“After I tore my ACL I feel like they gave up on me going into my next training camp. These three years I was trying to prove to them I was a guy they could trust, and I was trying to be the guy they drafted me to be. But I never got a chance to start a game. When it’s all said and done, I feel like they gave up on me."

The Rams face the Patriots in Super Bowl 53 on Sunday.
