UGA Hoops Lands Nation's 2nd Best Player

The No. 2 overall recruit in the country has announced his decision.

Anthony Edwards, a five-star shooting guard out of Atlanta, Georgia, has decided that heading right up the road and playing in Athens for Tom Crean is what he wants to do.

Edwards, who lives an hour and a half from Georgia’s campus, picked the in-state school over significant interest from Kentucky, where he official visited on Jan. 20, Florida State and a host of others.
Edwards took an official visit to Georgia on Dec. 1, less than two weeks after he opted to reclassify from the 2020 to the 2019 recruiting class. He then took multiple unofficial visits to the school before his pledge.

The 6-foot-5 guard is ranked the No. 2 overall recruit in the class and the No. 1 player at his position.
