Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey Says Team Won't Extend Him This Year

Jaguars corner Jalen Ramsey told media members Tuesday that the team told him will not be giving him a contract extension this year. Ramsey is in the fourth year of his rookie deal, and the Jaguars exercised his 2020 option at the NFL Combine.

Ramsey has played every game of his career, and ranks in the top ten in pass breakups (44, 4th), interceptions (9, tied for 5th), and tackles (193, tied for 6th) by corners since he entered the league (per ESPN's Field Yates).

When asked about his contract, Ramsey responded "“The money is always there, my guy.”

Later, Ramsey also tweeted in quotations that “Imma ask for so much money, they have to put me on lay-away”.
