Tim Tebow Headed to the DL

According to a Syracuse.com Tim Tebow will miss time after suffering a laceration on his left hand.

Tebow has been placed on the injured list, although Mets manager Tony DeFrancesco did not have an exact timetable for Tebow’s return. DeFrancesco said the cut, caused by the ball hitting off his hand, required eight stitches.
“He’ll be out for as long as it takes to heal, get back on track,” DeFrancesco said Tuesday. “It’s just kind of in an awkward spot between his index finger, his ring finger and pinkie.”

The former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback is hitting just .163 with four home runs and 19 RBI with 98 strikeouts in his first season in Triple-A.

His timetable for a return is unknown.
