First Lady Jill Biden arrives in South Florida Thursday afternoon, ahead of Friday's one-year anniversary of the Surfside condo collapse.

Dr. Biden will attend the public memorial at the site of the Champlain Towers South but Thursday's visit to Palm Beach County is all about the Biden Administration's Cancer Moonshot initiative.

She'll visit FoundCare Palm Springs, a federally qualified health center that offers breast and cervical cancer screenings with the support of the Promise Fund of Florida.

The First Lady will tour the facility and then speak about the importance of private sector commitments and collaboration in the effort to end cancer as we know it.

The Promise Fund of Florida was co-founded by Nancy Brinker, who was appointed in 2011 as Goodwill Ambassador for Cancer Control by the World Health Organization. The Fund partners with community-based health centers to improve access to breast and cervical cancer screenings and provide patient navigation services for local women diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer.

Brinker, who also founded the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, will be on hand for Biden's visit to FoundCare, along with HHS Deputy Secretary Andrea Palm.
