Lightning Begin Road Trip With Win Over Blues

The Tampa Bay Lightning (27-13-1) defeated the St. Louis Blues (21-20-3) 4-2 on Saturday night in St. Louis.

After St. Louis scored first, Brayden Point scored two first period goals to give the Lightning a 2-1 lead. Nick Perbix scored in the second to make it 3-1. After St. Louis scored to pull within 3-2, Alex Killorn scored late in the second to make it a 4-2 game, which would prove to be the final score.

Andrei Vasilevskiy went 23-for-25 in net to pick up the victory. Jordan Binnington made 26 saves on 30 shots against in the losing effort for St. Louis.

The Lightning now head to Seattle to play the Kraken on Martin Luther King, Jr, Day. Puck drop on Monday is scheduled for 4:00 PM in Seattle.
