Lightning Winning Streak Ends at Five With Loss In Edmonton

The Edmonton Oilers (26-18-3) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (29-14-1) 5-3 on Thursday evening in Edmonton.

Tampa Bay got goals from Brandon Hagel, Steven Stamkos and Brayden Point in the second period as the teams went into the second intermission tied 3-3. For Stamkos, his goal was the 503rd in his career, after having a hat trick the night before in Vancouver.

Connor McDavid broke the tie early in the third with the goal that would prove to be the game winner.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 29 saves on 33 shots against in the losing effort.

The Lightning wrap up a four game road trip in Calgary on Saturday. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 PM between the Lightning and Flames on Saturday afternoon.
