Lightning Drop Second Straight, Fall To Flames on Saturday

The Calgary Flames (22-16-9) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (29-15-1) 6-3 on Saturday afternoon in Calgary. The Lightning have now lost two in a row to finish a five game road trip with a 3-2 record.

The Lightning took a 2-1 lead in the second period thanks to goals from Steven Stamkos and Vladislav Namestnikov, but Calgary scored the next three to build a 4-2 lead. Anthony Cirelli scored at the 15:58 mark of the third to pull within 4-3, but that would be as close as Tampa Bay would get.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 35 saves on 39 shots against in the loss.

The Lightning next return home for a three game homestand beginning on Tuesday night. They host the Minnesota Wild at Amalie Arena on January 24th - puck drop Tuesday is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
