Lightning Beat Ducks In OT

The Tampa Bay Lightning (39-25-7) defeated the Anaheim Ducks (24-43-4) 3-2 in overtime on Sunday night in Anaheim. The win gives the Lightning nine of a possible ten points on a five-game road trip that included four games on the West Coast.

Anthony Duclair and Luke Gendening both scored in regulation for Tampa Bay before the game ended tied 2-2. In overtime it was Anthony Cireli coming up with the game-winner to lift the Lightning to the win. Jonas Johansson made the start in net - his first since February 25 - and earned the win after saving 30 of the 32 shots he faced.

The Lightning, who have now earned points in each of their last seven games, return home for their next three games. The homestand begins with a matchup against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night - puck drop in that game is scheduled for 7:30 PM at Amalie Arena.
